How Switchable Glass Works
Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) film consists of liquid crystal molecules suspended in a polymer matrix, sandwiched between layers of conductive film.
When electrical current is applied, the liquid crystals align and the film becomes transparent. When power is cut, the crystals scatter light and the glass appears opaque — providing instant, switchable privacy.
The film can be applied to existing glass or integrated into new glass units, making it a versatile solution for both new construction and retrofit applications.
